Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 June 2026
1. Overview
- This policy explains what personal information Outdoor Sport Courts (“we”, “us”) collects through outdoorsportcourts.com, how we use it, who we share it with, how we protect it, and your rights.
- We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and — where they apply to you — the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, the UK/EU GDPR, and applicable US state privacy laws.
- Short version: we collect only what we need to price, build and deliver your court and to support you — and we never sell your data.
2. What we collect
- Contact details — your name and email when you save a design, download the brochure, make an enquiry or order; phone number if you provide it.
- Delivery details — postcode for live freight pricing, and your shipping address when you order (collected securely in Stripe Checkout).
- Your design — sport, size, colours, line markings and any uploaded logo artwork, stored so your court can be built and so you can return to your design.
- Order and payment records — what you ordered and payment status. Card numbers go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Support conversations — emails to [email protected] and messages you send to the on-site design assistant.
- Basic technical data — device/browser information and site usage needed to run, secure and improve the site, plus an anonymous visitor identifier stored in your browser.
- Marketing consent — only if you opt in when saving a design or downloading the brochure.
3. How we use it
- To show live pricing and delivery costs, take payment, custom-build your court and deliver it.
- To send the emails you'd expect: design save-links, the brochure if you request it, order confirmations and delivery updates, and replies to your enquiries.
- To provide support — including the on-site design assistant answering your questions.
- To improve the site and designer, and to keep the service secure and prevent fraud.
- To send occasional marketing only if you opted in — every message has a one-click unsubscribe (Spam Act 2003 compliant). Unsubscribing never affects order emails.
4. Who we share it with
- We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with data brokers or advertisers.
- Stripe — payment processing (your card details go to Stripe directly; we receive payment status only).
- Our manufacturing and freight partners — your design specifications and delivery details, strictly to build and ship your order.
- Service providers that run the site: Cloudflare (hosting/CDN/security), Supabase (database for designs, orders and leads), Resend (transactional email) and Anthropic (powers the design assistant's responses).
- Each provider receives only what it needs to perform its service, transmitted over encrypted connections, and government agencies only if the law requires it.
5. How we protect it
- All traffic to and within the service is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor.
- Credentials and API keys are stored as encrypted secrets; database access is restricted by server-side keys not exposed to browsers.
- Access to customer data is limited to what's needed to operate the store and support you.
6. Cookies & local storage
- We use minimal browser storage: your in-progress design (so it isn't lost between visits), an anonymous visitor identifier, and session state for sign-in if you create an account.
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
- If we add analytics, it will be to understand site usage in aggregate — not to follow you around the internet.
7. Overseas disclosure
- Some providers above (for example Stripe, Cloudflare, Supabase, Resend, Anthropic) store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States.
- Order specifications and delivery details are shared with our manufacturing and freight partners overseas to build and ship your court.
- We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the privacy standards that apply to you.
- If you are in the UK or EU: your data may be transferred outside your country, including to Australia and the United States. We rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards for those transfers.
8. Retention
- Order records are kept as required for tax, warranty and accounting purposes (your 10-year warranty means we keep order details at least that long).
- Saved designs and leads are kept while useful for serving you; you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
- Information we no longer need is deleted or de-identified.
9. Your rights & contact
- You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your saved designs and details — email [email protected] and we'll action it promptly.
- If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling. If you are in a US state with a privacy law (for example California), you may request access or deletion and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell personal information.
- Marketing is opt-in and every email has one-click unsubscribe.
- Privacy questions or complaints: [email protected]. If you're not satisfied with our response you can complain to your local privacy regulator — in Australia the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au), in New Zealand the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz), in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), or your national data protection authority in the EU.
