How much does a backyard court cost in Australia?
Real prices for backyard basketball, pickleball and multi-sport courts: what's included, what isn't, and what changes the price.

The short answer: our courts start from $49 per square metre for basketball and most other courts, and $55 per square metre for any court with pickleball lines. That includes your line markings, the bevelled edging around the outside and your own logo. A typical backyard half court of about 6 × 9 metres starts from around $2,600.

What's included in the price
- ✓The court tiles, made to order in your size and colours
- ✓Line markings for your sport, applied during production to the exact geometry of your design
- ✓Bevelled edging around the outside, so there's no trip edge
- ✓Your own logo, at no extra cost
- ✓A spec sheet with the exact overall dimensions, ready to hand to a concreter
- ✓A 10-year warranty on the tiles
What's not included
- ✕The base. Tiles sit on a hard, sound surface: concrete, asphalt or solid pavers. If you already have one, the base costs you nothing. If you need a new slab, a local concreter quotes it. Slab prices swing with region, access and site prep, so we don't print one. Get two local quotes with our slab spec in hand.
- ✕Hoops, poles and nets. We supply the court surface only. The hoop you see in the designer is there to help you plan the space.
- ✕Installation. The tiles snap together by hand, with no glue and no setting time, so most owners lay their court themselves over a weekend. See installing your court.
- ✕Delivery. Worked out from your postcode when you design your court.
What changes the price
- Size. By far the biggest factor. Every extra square metre is $49, or $55 on a court with pickleball lines.
- Pickleball lines. Courts with pickleball lines use our pickleball tile, which plays better for pickleball, at $55 per square metre.
- Run-off. Extra tiles around the playing area add area, so they add cost. They're worth it behind a hoop.
- Colours and line options don't change the price. Every colour and every line choice is the same rate.
